New Blue Effects-solved

I am still using PD 11 ultimate but I decided to ask this question on PD 12 forum

For the first time I am trying to use New blue effects. I want to use the cartoon effect on my grand child. I find the effect to be extremely slow to respond when making any adjustments, to the point of making the effect almost unusable. I tried some of the other New blue effects and got the same result.
PD effects work as they should.

Anyone else having this experience?

Ht

Heavytiger - what version of the NBFX do you have? Place an effect in the timeline, select it and click Modify, then click on Information. You should see a dialog box like this:

If you've got V1.0 FX, they can't use the GPU and will run more slowly on your CPU. If you can spend a little to upgrade from 1.0 to 3.0, I'm sure you'll notice the improvement.

If you have V3.0, be sure that the "Disable GPU" boxes are unchecked, and also make sure that PD's Hardware Acceleration box is checked under Gear/Preferences/Hardware Acceleration.

BTW, the current V3.0 build is now 140320, which I found after clicking the Check for Update box. I just updated all of mine
