COlor Director and PD 10 Ultra

I'm using the trial version of Color Director, trying to decide whether to buy it. So far, there seems to be no integration with PD 10 Ultra. After installing CD, no button for CD appears in PD. Someone posted that if we R click on a clip in PD, one of the choices will be to edit in CD - but that's not so.

So far I think the standalone CD has some benefits, but obviously only if it will work with PD. Must we purchase and install PD 12 to get CD to integrate? Bill Hansen

Hello Bill,

Welcome to the CDR forum.

Integration of CDR, ADR & PhD only began with PD11. There is no integration with PD10.

Personally, I don't see that as a huge disadvantage. ColorDirector works as a standalone, so you can make your adjustments, produce the clip, then import it into PD10.

On the other question, unless you married to PD10, there are some great features in PD12 (and the asking price is quite reasonable at the moment). It's certainly not necessary unless you prefer the "round trip editing" idea.
