DVD and BLU-RAY playback stutter of video

Hello,

If I play certain movies from original dvd's or blu-ray's I experience a slow down of the image while sound continues; than the image speeds up to where the sound is.

I even had a blu-ray with artifacts and had 3 copies of it with the same issues but the issues where less with everyone of them.
Than I used ANYDVD HD and that solved the artifacts in the blu-ray movie.

But I did not have any luck in solving the slowing screen issues while playback; however a free media player VLC-media player works without any issues (for the dvd). So there is nothing wrong with firmware, hardware, codecs or windows (wich are all the latest versions).

I hope somebody knows what's wrong

thnks in advance

Sebastian

Dear,

I found what is wrong, if I use hardware acceleration decoding I get the stutter if I use software decoding I don't and if I use software decoding with truetheater enhancement it's worse than the hardware option. Very weird since I have 2xGTX660 in SLI and a i7 CPU. VLC media player does things without issues !

Hi SebastionL1987,
can you check if the issue persists when not using SLI mode?

if possible, please also post the asked info:

Hello Michael,

I switched SLI off but the result remains.

I use Windows 7 SP1 X64 Pro, Creative ZxR sound card, 2 x GTX660 in SLI, LGBH10LS38 blu-ray burner and the K-Lite codec pack; everything has latest firmware or software versions.

I tryed the software encoding with the blu-ray with artifacts but that did not change anything (only ANYDVD HD resolves that).

Thank You

Sebastian

Hi,
can you help to clarify some questions:

1. does those symptoms appear on every title?
2. did you try to use the Auto Frame rate adjustment offered in PowerDVD?
3. did you try to use other Audio device ?

thx

1) no, the artifact problem is with the blu-ray movie Willow special edition from 2013, the dvd stutter occurs on more titels
2)no
3)I have 1 sound card and it is the video that stutters; the sound is great

Hi,
we tried to reproduce your symptoms in our lab but were not successful about it.

Do you use any additional 3rd party tools that interact with Audio/Video (e.g. Re-clock) or have you installed any so called "Codec Packs" from the Internet?

Any additional info may be helpful - but as stated, we cannot see the symptoms you reported here.

Hi,
you may Need to completely remove KLITE and try again - those codec packs tend to break Multimediasettings from time to time (not saying this is the case here - but at least it could be possible)
