Problem with transitions added to videos on different tracks

Hi

I've added 2 videos on different tracks to make a youtube outro.

This is what my timeline looks like :

Notice how the transition is added to the whole screen rather than the resized video clips.

I want the video clips inside those black boxes to have transitions.

Hmm - that's odd, unless I'm missing something completely obvious.

Your observation is correct & I can't explain it. I (sort of) replicated your timeline setup and found the same thing. At first, I thought it was only certain transitions (like the Flip Matrix one you've applied) but then discovered it's the same with ALL transitions. Instead of being applied only to the videos, the transition happens across the whole screen.

Timeline & preview look like this:

Sorry - I can't explain why that's happening... but it is!

I toyed with about 25 transitions. Some appear to work correctly - only on the PIP layer - and some do not???

For this case I produce each clip first.
In final assembly would resizing videos "PIP" AMD-FX 8350 / 8GB DDR3
SSD SUV400S37240G / 2-HD WD 1TB
AMD Radeon R9 270 / AOC M2470SWD
