Authoring taking forever.

Hi, I am trying to burn a DVD, I have imported the video, made the titles etc, gone to Make DVD and waited. It is taking forever. After 40 mins it is at 30% and says it will take another 3 hours, It is only a 55 minute video! I have updated my graphics driver to no avail. I have, I5 3570 @3.4Ghz, ATI 7870 with 4GB ram, and 16GB ram. Windows 7 64 bit.
My old xp PC with Roxio only took 1 hour to do a DVD. What is going on?

After an hour it gets to 36% but says there is 4'5 hours to go. Any suggestions guys?

Produce your project to MPEG-2 DVD HQ (720x480/576/60i).

After you have the MPEG-2 video, put on Timeline then go to Create Disk. See if the amount of time is back in the normal range.

Thanks Carl but it's sorted. Very odd but I tried everything. Then I started again, same video, same menu, text, font, music. Everything the same and then it did a disc in 13 minutes! I can only assume something didn't load correctly the first time. Strange. While I'm here, I couldn't find the option to use/make custom buttons, the help file says to click a certain icon but I'm blowed if I can find it.
