smartrender avchd with added soundtrack?

Hi!
Is it possible to add music (mp3) to a avchd-project and still smartrender the picture? I get that the sound has to be re-renderd but can powerdirector use smartrender and not re-render the video?

If you change a video in any way it must render to preserve the changes. If you add an audio track... it needs to render. SVRT recognises the bits that are NOT changed.

so smartrender is totaly useless (IMO) and can ony be used to trim an join avchd? Is there other programs that allow me to manipulate/change the sound and not re-render video?

You are changing the video..... you will need to render it if you make a change.

The answer to your question is NO as the action you carry out applies to all video editors... YOU ARE CHANGING the video.
