So I've been trying out the AudioDirector 4 trial, along with some competitors like Sony Acid Pro. Tonight for the first time I plugged in a second audio source into my Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 USB Audio interface (Up until now I had been using only one mic). I was able to record from the Line 1 input fine by itself in both the Edit and Mix rooms. I was able to recording from the Line 2 channel just fine in both the edit and mix rooms. However I was not able to record from both Line 1 and Line 2 at the same time (ie multitrack recording) in the mix room. When I tried it would only record the Line 1 channel and drop Line 2.
Now I can record both Line 1 and Line 2 channels at once if I choose the stereo mix input, but obviously I want the channels to be isolated to allow better editing.
I have my Audio interface chosen as the default recording device both in Windows and in AudioDirector. I have the latest driver for my interface and I am using Windows 8.1. I will note this
does work correctly in other DAWs like Sony Acid Pro...
