I have 2 PowerDirector projects. Both with subtitles.
Can I copy a part of project 1's video including subtitles and insert it into project 2?
That is, I want to merge parts of project 1 and project 2 including subtitles. Copying video parts between projects is possible, but can the subtitles - and their time codes - be copied/moved as well, or will I have to create new subtitles after merging the two video parts?

One way to copy a clip or adjacent clips and their subtitles, after first saving the project...

On the timeline, select the clip/s by dragging the yellow markers that straddle the white scrubber pointer.
Right-click and COPY. The selected area, with subtitles, will be copied.

Load your 2nd project, position the scrubber and PASTE. Perhaps not exactly what you want, but a start.

You might try exporting the subtitle to a SRT, in Powerdirector Subtitle room, click the button to export the subtitle.

Once you have the SRT files for each project (use different filenames), you can edit the subtitle SRT files and even combine them in a subtitle editor or WordPad.

The subtitle editor I use is named Subtitle Edit, if you do a Google search, it is maybe the first hit.

When you combine projects, you must adjust the times.
Subtitle Edit has the ability of adjust the times.

You can of course import SRT files in PowerDirector. Powerdirector will replace the subtitles currently loaded with the subtitles from the SRT file.

Be sure the times are correct.

Thank you both for your help and advice.
borgus1, I tried your advice and it worked just like I hoped it would.
