How to move a large number of the clips on the timeline-solved

I have a project that is about 77 min long. There is a 2 frame gap at the 53 min mark on the timeline that I want to close. In other words I want to move all clips on all tracks that are positioned to the right of the 53 min mark to the left by 2 frames to close the gap. I can't figure out how to highlight all the clips I want to move so I can move all of them at the same time. I can only highlight what I can seen on the timeline. If I compresses everything on the timeline from the 53 min mark to the end the clips are too small to work with.

thanks,

Select the first item after the gap, Press and Hold shift, Click the Last item ( selects all between ). Right Click > Group Objects.

Now you can move the whole group to close the gap.

After you have closed the gap, Right click ungroup.

I hope that works for you.

I tried that but it only selects the video and audio on the primary track. All tracks below remain nonselected.

Another possibility:

Put the cursor (Scrubber) at the beginning of the first item after the gap. Grab the Right orange arrow on the scrubber, drag it to the end of your timeline. (This selects everything below the scrubber).

Click Cut on the top of timeline (your marked section will disappear).
Preview in Movie mode: Press end Key. (Scrubber should be at the end of what is left on the timeline).
See the Paste button on top, click it. (Ctrl+V is also paste).

Your cut section reappears without the gap.

Save As your project.
