When PD12 opens up for a new project the editing volume is at the maximum. Should I leave it at maximum and then adjust my volume for my production in the audio mixing room?
Personally, I would stay at max, then adjust individual clips by dragging the horizontal line up or down. That will create keyframes.
Revert to the mixing room if control of individual channels is required.
And, how is the best way to use the "Normalize" button in the audio mixing room?
NORMALIZE in PD does not work as it does in most audio utilities. See the HELP file for more. If extensive, global audio editing is required consider capturing audio in its entirety to edit in a program like Audacity -
http://audacity.sourceforge.net - then laying it back in PD.
