I've been editing in Power Director for quite awhile, so I know this may sound very newbie. When PD12 opens up for a new project the editing volume is at the maximum. Should I leave it at maximum and then adjust my volume for my production in the audio mixing room? I'm editing a video to be played on a DVD to be watched on TV. And, how is the best way to use the "Normalize" button in the audio mixing room? Thanks.

Personally, I would stay at max, then adjust individual clips by dragging the horizontal line up or down. That will create keyframes.

Revert to the mixing room if control of individual channels is required.

NORMALIZE in PD does not work as it does in most audio utilities. See the HELP file for more. If extensive, global audio editing is required consider capturing audio in its entirety to edit in a program like Audacity - http://audacity.sourceforge.net - then laying it back in PD.

Thanks. I thought as much, but also thought that maybe there was an easier or better way.

Thanks.

I hope I'm not hijacking this topic BUT -
Are there keystrokes available to adjust the volume when adjusting using the horizontal lines? I would like to be more precise but my shaking hands on the mouse make it difficult.
Thanks.
