I have noticed that scenes from unbroken files, ie "scene detection",
when placed in the timeline, are not checked off.
To clarify...
Individual scenes from a capture are treated individually.
Scenes detected from a long file are not.

Hi Barry,

This is a really good point.

I have just:
Opened PD7
Right clicked on Aquarium.mpg
selected Detect scenes
Sensitivity to 100%
Every scene detected accurately - split.
dragged individual clip scene to time-line
No green tick to show scene selected used in Media Library.

I'll raise this with CL.

Well done Barry.

How strange, I did the same as Dafydd and get the little folder in the lower right hand corner and the green check in the upper right in the media library. When I delete the individual split scenes from time line the green arrow disappears but the folder icon stays as it should.

I'd suggest you contact CS, uninstall and reinstall PD7.... (just kidding)

My error, you were looking one layer deeper than I was. You were looking for a check in the actual split scene folder of the scene being used. I don't have that either. A picture is sometimes worth a thousand words.
