I have my movie in the timeline.
When I move the scrubber the preview marker moves but the preview video does not.
Can I make it move with the scrubber?

Hi MikeZY56pdq,
No, not in that way.

Use the keyboard control:
Forward = Ctrl+.
Back = Ctrl+,
Press the key once for single frame motion.
Hold down the key for continuous movement and slider/scrubber movement
I hope that helps.
Dafydd

Edit: A correction. There should be no need to hold down the Ctrl button.

Well I thought that was the answer but when the program finnished rendering and I was able to try it nothing happened.
I held Control and Plus down as I moved the timeline slider.
The previeiew slider moved in sync with it but the image stayed as it was.
I held just Control Down and tried again still nothing should I be using Control and Plus and Alt togther because if so I will be a bit short of fingers

With the window focus on the timeline, try pressing the period . or comma , keys ALONE.
That jumps single frames - scrubber and preview - in PD 11. Likely does the same in PD 12.

Check the HELP file for "hotkeys" or "keyboard shortcuts."

Not sure why I added Ctrl... must have had a "moment". Thanks borgus1, for the gentle correction.
