PowerDirector 7 Deluxe, Using Chroma Key on PiP Gives Blue Screen Error (SOLVED?)

I just put up a blue screen using a sheet and attempted to make a small video clip using it.

When I imported the ASF video file into PowerDirector 7, I dragged it to the PiP timeline. I set the size to fill the entire video screen and clicked Modify to set the Chroma Key. I set it to blue and began to turn up the intensity (to get the blue screen completely gone I need to set it around 25-35). Then I got a blue screen of death. I've replicated the steps and I get the same blue screen error everytime I try to do this. The Windows Error Report says it has something to do with a driver and I should note recently installed software. I would copy and paste this message but I tried it again and the error report was corrupted.

Am I doomed to never be able to use my blue screen, or is there a way to fix this?

I have solved the problem... somewhat.

It appears that PowerDirector causes my computer to crash when I apply chroma key to ASF files, but after being converted to AVI, they work fine! Strange?
