I'm poking about without success. Is there a way to convert a mono track to stereo? It's 1-button in Wave Editor, surely it's easy in AudioDirector (he says hopefully). HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)
Nvidia GTX 960(4GB)/16GB DDR3/
Canon Vixia HV30/HF-M40/HF-M41/HF-G20/Olympus E-PL5.
Tape capture using 6 VCR, TBC-1000, Elite BVP4+, Sony D8 camcorder with TBC.

Hello Barry,

Something it's taken a while for me to wake up to is that when you go to ADR (or PhD & CDR for that matter) from PDR, you go into "Lite" mode. I mean, you don't have all the same functions as when you use ADR independently.

Import a mono clip directly into ADR (not from PDR) and all you have to do is Produce, selecting Stereo (under Channels). Done.

You're right about WaveEditor. It instantly imports audio as stereo. ADR imports it as it is.

Your options depend on how you want to go about it, but there isn't one doing the round trip edit process between PDR & ADR.

Wow, that's is an oddly shocking revelation. I never knew that.
I will use that knowledge going forward.

Hey PIX,

Please help me out with this too. Have video with 2 mics... one on left channel and one on right channel. I need to take the right channel which was a handheld mic and make it centered. Is there an easy way?

There is a simple and very flexible way of mixing mono to stereo and anything in between!!

eg: 2x mono [File 1 (L), File 2 (R)]

ADR4:
Edit Panel: Single Channel Edit
Select File 1(L) Check profile settings = Stereo, Select [L] Using end pan handles - pan 100% left
Select File 2(R) Check profile settings = Stereo, Select [R] Using end pan handles - pan 100% right
Mix Panel Check profile settings = Stereo
Drag Files 1 & 2 into separate tracks

It will now not only play in stereo, but each track has the capability of being panned around within the stereo field. This process can be repeated for as many separate mono tracks as you wish.

So if bydesigndj101 wants to centre the channel from his handheld microphone, he can do it in this mix panel using the L/R end pan handles or add more pan node points to move it around to wherever he wishes.
