I wish to know whether PowerDirector 12 can handle input video with VRO and VOB extensions. CyberLink web site gives apparently conflicting advice on whether the files are handled by PD12.
one page https://membership.cyberlink.com/support/product-faq-content.do?id=16445&prodId=4&prodVerId=1052 shows that they are both acceptable inputs, but, those two formats have an asterisk against them.

A note at bottom of page show that these are optional and to check with the version table http://www.cyberlink.com/products/powerdirector-ultra/features_en_GB.html which sends you to the top of PD12 Ultra page.

When you go to comparison page http://www.cyberlink.com/products/powerdirector-ultra/compare_en_GB.html
there is no mention of VRO or VOB.

So are these still supported?

I have a canon video camera which produces videos on mini DVDs. Two files are held on disk under folder marked DVD_RTAV which are VR_MOVIE.VRO and VR_MANGR.IFO. If VRO is supported by PD12 does this require the IFO file?

I work with videos VOB, generated by desktop recorder.
First I copy only files VOB, or VRO (these are the videos) that matters for editing.
Using Explorer, open the disk and I copy only the videos to a folder on HD, PC.
Open PD12, Edition, add the video files.
I will create new DVD-Video, look for a profile that will connect SVRT thus rendering takes only where it has some cutting effect, text etc ... everything else is kept the original file. AMD-FX 8350 / 8GB DDR3
