Normalize Icon not active

I have been working on some audio recordings for a couple of days. When I opened AD today and tried to normalize some sections of audio the normalize icon is not enable on the ribbon or on the right click of the mouse. What have I done to turn it off?

More important, how do I get it turned back on???

Welcome to the ADR forum :

"Normalising" in ADR is the process of applying a more constant amount of gain across different channels or tracks.

The answer to your question depends on your particular circumstance. Is the audio stereo? or multi-channel? Are you working under Edit, Restore or Mix? It's a little different for each.
