Multi-cam - real time "render" is crippling

Hello to all.
I have been using the multi-cam function and I love it, but I think it could be better.
After shooting a 2 camera + 1 audio live band performance, I proceed to create my plug-in timeline from one of the cameras, and it goes in REAL TIME? I feel like I'm doing an HDV capture!
I am using this Tootorial to guide me http://youtu.be/8DtJDjjq8nA
My problem is the length of the captured video creates disjointed i.e. separate files, and a pure application of this tootorial is impossible, I must "render" (not really the right word here) the entire length of the video sequence before I place it in the main PD timeline.
Any thoughts/comments are welcome, and maybe I can forward this to Cyberlink. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)
Nvidia GTX 960(4GB)/16GB DDR3/
Canon Vixia HV30/HF-M40/HF-M41/HF-G20/Olympus E-PL5.
Tape capture using 6 VCR, TBC-1000, Elite BVP4+, Sony D8 camcorder with TBC.

I'm not sure that I know what you are talking about but I did a 3 camera edit in multi-cam and the files from my Sony camcorders was broken up into separate files and when I synched with my separate audio track it placed the video files on separate tracks instead of one track. I also wanted to do what is shown in that tutorial but couldn't.
What do you mean that you had to "render" the files first before putting them in the timeline? How did you do that? I would love to be able to do it the way PDToots shows because I don't want to do a cuts only edit but just want to be able to synch all video to the audio track and then begin editing as I like to overlay long sequences together some of the time.
I am hoping someone can help us figure this out. PDToot?
here is my YouTube channel so you can see what I mean: http://www.youtube.com/user/Genegenedtb the Big Leg Emma song "Daniel" shows how I overlay two tracks of video together.
Thanks all
