I love the idea of multi cam editing as that is what I do most of the time. this feature looks like it is cuts once recorded to the timeline. some of the time I like to blend two of my video tracks over each other for a while. is there some way to do this using the multi cam editor? eg. once I have all the cuts on the time line could I then be able to take one of them and move to another video track and use more of it to blend in with the other track of video ( if you know what I am trying to describe)
thanks

PD12 is very flexible for editing, I checked here to reply after the cuts done multicam, on the timeline you can Copy / Paste / any video or any seguento, delete and leave gap etc ...
The best I think, you can holding the edge of a seguemento increase the size to overlap with another video camera and do the mixing (fusion) by adjusting the opacity line
When I did a clip from 10 cameras, took one day at PD10, PD12 today, this well but easy.

To facilitate Copy / Paste use the Ctrl + C / Ctrl + V
Selects what will copy, Ctrl + C, select the track and position the cursor where you will paste Ctrl + V
If you prefer to use the Right Mouse

The MC module really acts as a mark in /mark out recorder. This means that the individual "recorded cuts" can be expanded or shortened for exact editing just as normal. Each cut can be dropped into another track, lengthened/shortened and any fades etc done as desired. However, by default, only the master audio track is recorded with each cut unlinked from it's own audio.

The official CL tutorial is here :

A more advanced tutorial, showing how to get all four full tracks (but only the master audio) into four main timeline tracks, is here:
http://youtu.be/8DtJDjjq8nA

With an additional step (not in the tutorial) all four tracks and their respective audios can be synchronised and placed into four timeline tracks. The additional step is to select the matching audio when selecting the next camera cut in the MC module, this enables all 4 tracks to be synchronised to a master audio but also to have their own audio.

Cheers
Adrian

Thanks very much for the info and the links. the 2nd one from PDToots shows one way to do what I want. Just having the ability to get 4 tracks closely lined up is so much easier than trying to do it manually as I have been doing. I ordered PD12U and can't wait for it to get here to start using it. I am glad that someone as yourself is on this forum to help out.
Thanks again
