A query on rendering timing..

I run PD12 under Windows 7/64 with 8Gb RAM Intel i3 CPU and an ATI Radeon HD 5770 graphics card

I have a project that is 90 mins running time. A good mix of video's and images and sound track all through the entire 90 mins.
Around 25 titles several Effects and lots of transitions..

It burns to a DL 8.5 GB dis OK it is just that it takes 10 hours to do so.

Is this reasonable for such a project and what I can expect for similar projects OR could it be that I have some incorrect settings or that my system is not really sufficient.

Any advise most welcome

It is not normal to spend so much time, even if the original footage is fullHD being rendered to DVD.
I prefer to first produce an MPEG2 (DVD) file and from it create the DVD.
Always supposing that will connect SVRT, not to render again.

In Producer can render monitor and observe what is happening during rendering. AMD-FX 8350 / 8GB DDR3
SSD SUV400S37240G / 2-HD WD 1TB
AMD Radeon R9 270 / AOC M2470SWD
Windows 7-64 / PD16 Ultimate

I guess that I would have to disagree with playsound. With your computer rig (i3) and with your project of 90 minutes, I would expect somewhere in the order of 8 hours of rendering to one hour of completed video. Yours is in that range,

I doubt thta SVRT will help since you have videos from different sources and different formats. The program can't use SVRT with all those tweaks to the videos.

When you are doing any video editing, shud down everything else including the internet so you can also shut down your antivirus. Don;t do anything else! And start the rendering when you are about to go to sleep so it is almost ready when you awaken. .

To answer your time question: Yes. It can take that long. If your PC was an i7 the time would drop to about 3-4.5 hours. Win 10, i7
