I wish to design my own menu, starting fro a plain template (see attached)

How do I remove the items and navigation buttons that I don't want?

You cannot remove those place holders.

You are making a Template.

When you use the Template in Powerdirector's Create disk, you will edit the text in the menu then.

What appears on the menu page depends on the content.

Play always appears.
Scenes appears if there is more that one chapter or Title.
Subtitle appears if you have subtitles for disk defined in the edit module.

The scenes pages will be created for how many chapters per page and if you have more chapters or titles than defined per page.

Hi jshepnz -

Carl's answered your question, but I thought I'd point out a couple of tutorials that may help you.

First - here's a list of all our current tutorials - http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/30026.page

Towards the bottom of the list under Discs & Menus, there's one called "Menu Making".

This one - http://youtu.be/VSOEGMSjx6k - is just a screen capture showing how to change the words in the menu.

Cheers - Tony
