imported avi file jitters when viewed from the master video track

I have imported an avi file to the master video track and when trying to edit it or even just view it the video jitters with mini-pauses every 2 seconds. Any ideas?

There is an option to check and correct the field order of AVI file. Right now I am not able to access PD7. It should match with that set in preferences, project properties. PC specs :
OS Windows 10.0 Pro
