PowerDVD 12 vs. VLC Media Player

Something that is important to me is being able to play VOB files seemlessly without stopping and starting in order to see a full movie.

I can't do this with PowerDVD 12 because it stops after each VOB file. I have tried clicking all the other files and it does not make a difference. Also, PowerDVD 12 needs to use a completely separate program, Power2Go 8 ISO reader, for PowerDVD 12 to even see and play the VOB files!

I know there are many wonderful features that PowerDVD 12 has that VLC Media Player does not; but why do I have to pay $$$ to restart VOB files in PowerDVD 12 when VLC Media Player is FREE and plays them all automatically!

What am I missing here?
