Loosing Right Audio Channel

I just purchased this software and have a problem with the audio. When I import a media file, it has both left and right audio channels - even when I play it in Power director. However, once I drag it down to the timeline, I lose the right channel and regardless of the file type I produce, it only sends the left channel. Has anyone else experienced this - I can't seem to find any solution - everything seems to be set for stereo...... Jeff

Welcome to the Forum PD12
Are you sure you have 2 channel audio?
What is the origin of the video file?
View the properties of the video file to say about the audio.

Jeff,

If your video comes from a mono video recorder or camera then PD12 will play it only in the left track. Using the Waveeditor will fix that for you. Win 10, i7

That did it - Thought it might be something simple like that. Thanks! Jeff

In PD12 does not show on the timeline 2 channels of audio.
I recommend that you open the file in WaveEditor and if shown only 1 channel L, you can copy for R, it really has only 1 channel in the original audio.
Here's how to do it in WaveEditor, select the audio on the timeline, click the button, Edit Audio.
