Hello, I just purchased and installed the new Holiday Pack Volume 5 to add to my abilities of PD 12. I thought I would check the Magic Style options using 24 pictures on the timeline. "Holiday Giving", "Holiday Word Art", and "Season's Greetings" creates a 0:5:27 second blank black item in the title track on the time line and that's all. Magic Movie does exactly the same thing. Neither one create ANYTHING.
Also, the "Interactive" Magic Style does absolutely nothing at all. (not even the 5 second item on the Title track) So, to summarize, at least four of the Magic Style, Magic Movie options are worthless. Is there a fix???

Why are long term customers of these programs used as Beta Testers??? I hate spending money for products that are filled with flaws. Just sayin.....

Hi mrmusic -

This will be of little comfort to you... I spent the whole of PD11 & the early part of PD12 with both Magic Movie & Magic Style producing NOTHING! There seemed to be no rhyme or reason to it, & it wasn't replicated by others as far as I remember.

Here's the original post - http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/25656.page - found by Google in one hit after scrolling through 12 pages of forum search!

For whatever reason, when I (just now) tested the templates you mentioned they all worked as expected.

I wish I could say: "Just do x,y & z and your problem will go away" BUT I have no idea what occurred to make it work again here. No idea at all.

Cheers - Tony

Hi mrmusic,
RE: The magic style template, when there is no change when applying magic style templates, this could happen when the duration is too short to apply the addition. Each magic style requires some duration to display the image, the total duration cannot be too short.

Check the total duration of the clips where a Magic feature has been applied. Ensure the total duration of the timline is at least maybe over 5 or 10 minutes depending on the choice made.

It would be good to have a pop up, warning about the limitation. I'm told CyberLink are considering such.

wouldn't you at least get a preview? I did a complete removal of pd 10 and 12 last night... then a reinstall of 12 only. most of them do nothing. and here's a hoot... even after removing everything I could find in " remove programs" .. (pd 10 wasn't even listed btw) and running the pd ccleaner tool... pd 10 still ran fine. weird!

ClCleaner removes registry entries to allow a clean instal where there is a problem, to facilitate the installation and overwrite of data. It wasn't created to remove a program from a computer. A program can still function after CLCleaner has been used. Having used the cleaner tool, the program will not be visible in the Control Panel.

Remove/uninstall programs via the Control Panel.

Preview - why, the function hasn't been applied because of the limitations mentioned.
