When rendering & content aware editing it seems to be running slower than Power Director 8 did on my 64bit Dual core 4gb system. My current system is 64bit Windows 7, AMD 8350fx 8 Core Processor, NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT Video Card , 16GB Ram, Power Director Ultimate 12.0.2230.0. When rendering it uses no more then 15% of available resources. I could not find a setting to help improve this. I am editing Mpeg2 & 4 files mainly in the mt2s or mpg format. I understand that the higher quality files would take longer.

As a test try various combinations of enabled/disabled for the two items under EDIT|PREFERENCES|HARDWARE.

And UNcheck "enable HD video processing (shadow files)" under the GENERAL tab.
Also under that tab, you might click MANUALLY DELETE (temporary files).

How much free space is available on the C: drive?

Thanks, Borgus1 I will try that, I have 1.83 Tb free on a 6gbps drive for the C: drive. Correction on my post when running the content aware editing it got up to 30% & rendering a .mpg it got up to 50%.
