Timeline images slowing ALL down !!!

timeline images slowing ALL down.
When i try to navigate in timeline for edit my movie, ALL (like everything) frozen for 1second or so. Its VERY annoying. It remain frozen until all (or some) images are loaded on that timeline.
Where is the command to shut up those images from showing up there?
There are some secret settings in a secretfile.ini or something?
Please HELP !!!

Hi, Click the Preferences gear icon, click Editing tab
Turn off "Enable continuous thumbnails on video clips for easy scene recognition."
