I am trying to figure out how to edit tilt-shift in pd5. I see it listed on the web sight but cant find out ow to do it? ASUS windows 8 64b, Ci7 3.40G, 1TB, 4Gx2

Hello,

Welcome to the PhD forum.

The easiest way to get a "tilt shift" effect in PhotoDirector is to go to the Edit module > Effects > Blur.

Then you can use the eraser brush to remove the blur from the focus area.



If you use PowerDirector 12, there is a Tilt Shift effect which is even easier to apply.

That's a very elementary tool. It has little control over the focus area - one fixed strip - & no control over the amount of blur... and it leaves a watermark on your image (which could be cropped off).

The tools available in CL's software are what is under discussion. Of course, if there's a tool that does it better, members might consider it.
