Trying to create an endless loop DVD. Can't locate setting. Is there one?
[Post New]
Hi everyone, Geoff here...

As the subject line says, I'm trying to find out (with fingers crossed) if PD11 has a setting to produce an endless loop.
I'm trying to produce a 16-minute endless loop DVD for use in a store's showroom.
I bought the software months ago. Having some learning curve issues here. I'm going to post another couple of questions.
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!
Geoff

geoffsherenow,
welcome to the volunteer forum.
You certainly can make a DVD that loops, it's the easiest type to create, meaning only that menus are sometimes a bit troublesome.
While in the Menu module, the room where you can choose your actual menu Preferences , scroll down to the bottom and you'll see the NO MENU choice. Choose that. Apply to all pages.
The DVD will loop till the power goes off.

Thanks Barry for the lightning fast reply, much appreciated.
One other question if I may...when I selected No Menu, up came a blue screen with some gradient titled DVD, and the first frame of my video as a thumbnail, which I will assume is in effect the play button.

Question...can I make an auto-play with no menu at all, or is it a situation where I have to use the thumbnail to start the program rolling?

Thanks much, Geoff

That is just the way it displays in the program. If you burn a disc (try an RW diac to experiment with) then the vidoe will just start playing when you push the play button. .

** What Steve said! **

Hi Geoff -

When you select No Menu, the image (blue gradient) is just a space filler. When you burn the DVD it will just play when inserted - then keep repeating.

Another possibility (if you want the video to repeat itself on a PC) is to use a media player that allow you you select auto-repeat. Splash Pro is an example.

Cheers - Tony
