My old Samsung BDB-C5500 died a few days ago and was replaced with a

LG-BP330,

it had the longest list of formats it will play. So far it refused to play a CD video, about 10 years old. Has fast response time and
excellent video,it looks like a keeper. My neighbors all have Sony players, 1-2 yrs old and all of them play 60P.

If you do 60P please list your player so that other forum members will know what works.

PS3: Works

Licenced BD PC Based Software: eg Full Menu support just like HW Players
- Arcsoft Total Media Center (TMT) : Will play them menu but fails to then play the Content (odd), claims to play AVCHD V2
- Cyberlink Power DVD (PDVD) : Works (based on the trail prog), claims to play AVCHD V2 as well

PC Based "Filters": These are the Direct Show filters that can be used by non-licenced BD software such as J River Media Center, MPC-HC etc
- LAV Filters (provides the Decoding of the Video / Audio and Navigation) - All OK
- madVR (high quality Video Renderer) - All OK

Edit: Updated info on TMT and PDVD
Edit2: While TMT and PDVD claim to play AVCHD V2 I could not get either to play this content from a BD. TMT would load the disk and play it but you get the "Not compatible with AVCHD V2 Screen" and PDVD would not see it at all.
