I downloaded the TRIAL version of PD12 Ultra from the cyberlink website but the program won't import mts files. Message says "upgragde" but nothing happens when I try to upgrade. I don't want to buy software if I can't use it with my file type. Suggestions??

The PD 12 Trial will import .mts files if your OS is Windows 7 Or maybe Windows 8.

Windows XP and earlier OS, forget about it!

For full support of HD video formats you need the Full Retail versions of Powerdirector.

Some features of the Trial will work on Vista,

I do not know if Vista has a built-in H.264 Codec. H.264 Codec is required in the OS for the .mts files to work in the Trial.

Trial specs:

http://www.cyberlink.com/downloads/trials/powerdirector-ultra/download_en_US.html

Requirement of H.264 Video in the Trial version. Vista is not listed.
Importing and producing H.264 video files is only supported on Windows 7/8 systems or hardware platforms offering independent H.264 encoding and decoding

Hi, same problem here. I've downloaded the trial version of Power Director 12 and tried to import .mts files from my Sony Camera. The video plays fine but there's no audio track. If I buy the full version, which I wanted to do, will I be sure to have those audio tracks working fine?

Vista is your problem for Trial, it does not provide inbox H.264 codec for your .MTS clips, you can upgrade to Win7 or Win8.1, or buy a good AMD/nVidia VGA card which provide H.264 codec. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
