Is it possible to get the full install for PowerDVD 10 to try and see if that works? I have the full install for 9 that they gave me a while back as I could not get it to update from 8. Now I’m having the same kind of issue with 10. I can install the full install of 9 just as it should but I think the upgrade install for 10 is missing some files that they thought would be there from older versions.

Support has not come up with anything yet. They told me to log in as the admin, I am, just like when I install PowerDVD 9.

Still no update from 11/22 when they told me to install 13. Anyone know how to get the full 10 install? I don't know why they do this, I think it was 9 that did the same thing and they ended up giving me a full install for it.

There is some kind of odd hiccup in their update logic when you have had other versions of PowerDVD installed. I tried the CyberLink Cleaner program but I can only install the full version of 9 and the update to 13 that sort of acts like a full version in that you can give it a code from your old copy of PowerDVD. I did find that if I uninstall all versions of PowerDVD and use the cleaners 13 will not install. So it still wants to see some sort of PowerDVD remnant, even though I've seen support tell you all you need is the 13 install and a old PowerDVD code.

I sent another reply begging them to let me have the full install of 10 so I can watch movies again.

I gave them a call but they would not give me the full install. They did give me a link to a new version of the PowerDVD 10 update (2325) install but it has the same issue. Gets stuck saying it’s creating shortcuts.
