In V12 I had at the left bottom, quick access to select DVD or a DVD Folder
Where is this in V13 since I don't see the icon there anymore?

Funny, I never noticed that before. Yes, I don't see it in V13 but it is definitely there in V12. I'll let you know when and if I find it.

Thanks.
How do you play a DVD folder now. Can you only use that media center by browsing to that folder? Which I really don't care for.

At this point I don't have any DVD folders on this computer so I can't experiment. Did you look in the help menu?

Well, I tried everything, and cannot find it.. I used that movie indexer, but that's very slow.
All I want is a simple dropdown box (what used to be there at the left bottom)
Where you could select your DVD/CD rom and a Video/DVD folder.
Such a simple thing, that they removed...
I guess I won't be buying the upgrade.. I played with the Trial, and went back to my V12
Where I have that button..
I don't care for anything else.

So... if it's there somehow, let me know.

Euh,,,

look right here

[removed ] There is a screen halfway where you can see it

At the left bottom you see a disc drive... that's where you can select your drive or folder you want to playback.

I can't show my V12, since you guys have my license blocked for a week now.... (see my open tickets, and nobody seems to know why, or wants to do anything for that... really frustrated with your customer service)
And have no trial installed either, so i'm screwed..

Thanks for getting it fixed... if that was you

Now... how do I install it in Windows 8.1 ? ( I upgraded over the weekend from 8 to 8.1)
I start the setup, and that's it... I see it minimized in the task tray, and that's it..

I was able to install the Trial for V13, but I don't like V13 since it doesn't have that button where I can select my DVD folder.
Where is that in V13? If I want to play quick a DVD Folder, do I need to add them into that Library and then play it ??

Hello,

If you don't want to add the DVD folder into the media library, you can just access it via the My Computer tab in PowerDVD 13.

David

But it's a pain to keep clicking and browsing folder into folder, while the little folder browser was quick and easy

Just a reminder that almost everyone who posts in these threads do not work for Cyberlink. We are users like you but perhaps more experienced and less frustrated. It is NOT OUR product.

Funny, I never noticed that before. Yes, I don't see it in V13 but it is definitely there in V12. I'll let you know when and if I find it.

Go to setting>Preferences>Media Library. Then add your movie folder.

I was not the person who needed that information but I'm sure he can use it.

Just to be clear, you can see the folder and activate the options in Power DVD 13? Look at the image I'm posting. What is the full version number. I have the movie folder listed.

That is the complete page. All the info is on the left side now. I do remember the icon on the lower left on the older PowerDVD but not on 13

I forgot to mention with PowerDVD13 when you choose movie library all your movies will have your movie DVD cover art like in Window Media Center.

Yep, that's the Icon that's missing..
I know I can add them to the movie folder, but if you have a lot of files in there, or subfolders it does NOT tell you what it is..
With the Icon I can select the folder I want, so I know what it is.

I know it's a stupid little thing, but I was using it for years, and now it's gone..
