I did that--still no luck. The trial version seems to be the problem. I even turned of the Windows Firewall.

It lets me register, but I never get a screen where I can enter the product key.

You Install the Downloaded Files. There is a Program EXE and at least two content EXE. You cannot activate the Trial version.
You must install the Full Program you were given links to download.
