When watching videos in the preview window, is there anyway to get the blue circle with the + sign in the middle, to not show up? I know it goes away when you're scrolling through the video, but I want it to never show up.

Sure, replace* the graphic with a transparent png. I have done it in the past but wouldn't now.

C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDirector12\skin\1024x768, I think. Replace it at your own peril...

That Blue Circle always shows when paused in the Clip mode. Switch to Movie Mode, no Blue Circle.

The Blue circle is important. It is used to rotate videos if needed. Put your mouse pointer on the top of the circle, you should see a double arrow indicating rotation. Click left button and drag around.

Hi Digitally Mastered -

When I first read your post, I tried replacing the files with totally transparent images, as has been suggested. Using that method, I was able to remove the cross hairs but not the circle. For that reason, I didn't post until I tried to resolve the missing link. No luck yet!

The files in question are found in C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDirector12\skin\1024x768\Common - there are two files called "rotate_circle_b.png" and "rotate_circle_s.png"

When I changed both the circle & the cross hairs graphics to yellow, the circle still displayed as blue. That tells me there's something else written in the coding, beyond swapping graphic files.

The attached screenshots show the results of my attempts. PD suffered no ill-effects as a result of swapping these files.

I've searched through all PD's files to find any other occurrence of "rotate_circle_b.png" or any other clues, with no success.

Cheers - Tony

Hi Digitally mastered,
Are you previewing the clip by selecting from one of the functions modify, fix enhance etc.(?) this would show the cross-hair maybe, but if you video is previewed from the timeline -then no-
Just a thought.
