Hi,

I have downloaded the files twice but when I click on the "part01" file, it loads for a while then comes up with a text box that says "Some installation files are corrupt. Please download a fresh copy and retry the installation."

The WinRAR dialog box has the following text..

I have redownloaded files 03 and 04 - but still the same result. I'm now pushing my download cap, so need to get it working with these files, what can I do?

byrona22,
that is an issue for support. I suggest you give them this link to this thread to show it is a multiple-user issue, not a 1-off problem. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)

Good to hear that the problem may be at their end.
I did manage to download and install PD12, but I'm having a problem now with both registering PD12 and installing the update build 2109.
Keep getting the message that I don't have an internet connection - which I definitely do.
I've reported the problem, so I'll just wait to see what happens.
Fortunately there's no urgency, unlike you guys.

Now i'm starting to go batty. Cyberlink has gone down the big one in my books. Terrible help.

I have a response to my online support question. They have provided me with links to redownload the software and passwords to do so.... But the passwords expire in a few hours!? I can't download now as about to head to work (and the download for each part will take about 40 min).

also, i paid the extra $10 to have active download links for a year... I don't see how having expiring passwords will help with that.

Right now - feeling quite ripped off.

Start the downloads All of them, leave the computer on, go to work.

Check the computer when you get home.

All five downloads will take hours, you may as well be earning a living.

Yes, I got the number of downloaded files wrong.

I forgot you were doing the Director Suite.

None the less, you can start all of the downloads using IE FTP. The computer will keep downloading until all files are downloaded, If no power failure.

When I downloaded Powerdirector 12 Ultra, it was three files plus a readme.
That did take several hours.

I started the downloads, and went to lunch, it was still going after lunch. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

If you paid for the download service for a year I can't see why you need the password link.
You should just be able to go into your account and re-download any time during that year.

Having said that, there does seem to be issues with the servers according to other posts. So, maybe they gave you a link as a workaround for those issues. If you don't have the time now maybe it's just a case of waiting until the servers/files are fixed.

I had the same problem. (Spent most of 9-28 downloading & installing) Got up with support and they sent another link and PW. These files downloaded and installed w/o problems. However, I wonder why they don't copy the good files over as from this message I derive the problem has existed for at least a week: "Password valid duration is 2013/Sept/23 00:00 Hrs ~ 2013/Sep/29 23:59 Hrs PST. I suggest you to download the software before 2013/Sep/29 23:59 Hrs PST." I only had a few hours also! Regards

I am waiting for support to response to my ticket. I rarely ever had a file corrupted during file transmission. I redid a few downloads and still stops at the same point running the installer.
WinRAR self extracting archive
Extracting files to temporary folder
CRC failed in ColorDirector2\Setup\Utility\QuickTime\QuickTimeInstaller.exe
The file "???" header is corrupt

Playing the waiting game for support to response.

I have now downloaded the files from the new links given to me by support.. Files 03 and 06 are now corrupt... ?!.. (was originally 03 and 04).

Also, support never said to me they have any issue with their servers. I'm not really sure what to do at this point.

Hi byrona22,
CyberLink have found there is a problem (as members have reported here) on their servers with both Director Suite2 and Ultimate Suite 2. The admin will post on the forum at some point. Look up: http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/forums/show/61.page

For your issue server/download I suggest you contact online support again.

Passwords: Contact online support immediately you have problems and request a newer password. It is a problem where a password is on the end of an expire date.

thanks for help guys, second time round I think this was my fault.. Cyberlink sent an email with a few steps that needed to be completed - i didn't do all of them.

The one i missed was to change the security settings in your internet explorer to "Low". I did that, re-downloaded and it worked. phew.

First time I downloaded i obviously had it all cocked up, because I used firefox.

My own Microsoft internet explorer security settings is set for medium-high which is the default but was not a issue with me. Support finally send me the links and userid and password and I downloaded all the files from CyberLink named servers instead of asknet named servers and everything just installed fine. One hitch was with Apple QuickTime witch stated if I wanted to upgrade video watcher to video maker and the correct answer is: no Thanks! PowerDirector just need to use the QuickTime libraries to view and create video and you do not need to upgrade QuickTime maker or pro version to use PowerDirector. I received for the Suite:

PowerDirector Ultimate 12.0.2027.3 (main program includes Content Pack Essential & Premium and
NewBlue effect pack.) (confirmed)

AudioDirector 4.0.3208.0

ColorDirector 2.0.2005.0

Travel Pack 2

Romance Pack vol.3

Holiday Pack 4

I still have to update the program from 12.0.2037.3 to 12.0.2109.0 from 09-13-2013 patch.

Got the same error downloading from 3rd party reseller. If the file is located on another server, I doubt it is a cyberlink server problem.

Kinda crappy start, huh?

I think all this proves one thing! The best way to market Power Director is NOT by download, but by individual packaged DVD discs carrying the PD software plus installation data and the all-important CD-Key number to get it all up and running as a permanent programme(as opposed to a trial). Cyberlink should be selling its product through reputable stores, like it used to do, not all that long ago. The tried-and-true methods are always the best!
