I want to rotate a video image 90 degrees, is this possible in Power Director 6 and if so, how?

Thanks

Place the video into the pip timeline. size it and rotate.
Above it, in the regular timeline, place an empty file or colorboard.

I just bought a camcorder and shot in portrait, how do I rotate the video to landscape?

If you don't want to use PIP, you can always use the "effect" tool to rotate too.
1) Drag the video clip to the timeline
2) select rotate from the "Effect Room" pallet
3) drag unto entire clip if you want to rotate the whole clip or drag below clip in the effects area to rotate a small time slice
4) double click rotate effect and set angle of rotation as desired
