I upgraded from PD11 Ultimate to PD12 Ultimate Suite. It didn't uninstall PD11 or anything that came with it.
Have uninstalled PD11 but still had:
Cyberlink Powerdirector 11 Content Pack Premium
and
Cyberlink Powerdirector 11 Content Pack Essentials
installed.
Both are huge files.
I uninstalled Essentials because it seems there is a PD12 Essentials.

What about the PD11 Premium pack - should I uninstall it or is there a way to use it?
That's assuming it isn't being used now. I get lost with all the effects .<rant>wish there was a search for them</rant>

Thanks!
PD12 Ultimate Suite (upgrade from PD11 Ultimate). PhotoDirector 5. PowerDVD13. YouCam 5.

I noticed that the install only PD12, PD11 packs were not added in the respective libraries.
Then install the packages PD12 Content Pack Essentials and Content Pack Premium has almost all effects, some new.
PD11 packages can be uninstalled in the Control Panel
Personal effects in this all added AMD-FX 8350 / 8GB DDR3
SSD SUV400S37240G / 2-HD WD 1TB
AMD Radeon R9 270 / AOC M2470SWD
Windows 7-64 / PD16 Ultimate

I uninstalled the PD11 Premium pack.
Is there a Premium pack for PD12?
I can see video essentials I, II and III as separate installs but no Premium Pack.
There's a Holiday Pack, Romance Pack and Travel Pack listed in Ultimate Suite 2 setup though. Might have to do with having Ultimate Suite instead of just Ultimate. PD12 Ultimate Suite (upgrade from PD11 Ultimate). PhotoDirector 5. PowerDVD13. YouCam 5.

I think, [ 12_ContentPack_Essential and 12_ContentPack_Premium] is part of PD12 Ultra.
Those that adds all the basic material for editing.
Other packages are separate sales, Cyberlink gives us as a gift when purchasing PD.

There are packs for purchase, and they work in the versions of PowerDirector specified.

So, the answer is maybe.

Well the answer seems to be no as I uninstalled one of the content packs to re-install it in the new directory and now it wont let me install them at all as the old PowerDirector 11 is no longer on the system.

I personally am affronted by this method of bolstering profits. These things are backwardly compatible in most part and should therefor be working unless someone intends to give me back my brass and I'll happily send them back the download link!

This is very dodgy business practice and should be discouraged

If you are talking about the content packs that come with various versions of Powerdirector they only install in the version they are intended for.

PowerDirector 12 has most of the same content as PD 11. It depends on which version of Powerdirector 12 you buy. The most is in Ultimate with Ultra close behind.

Custom content is transferable.

Compare PowerDirector versions.
