Generally when upgrading: it is always best to keep the previous version installed. Some programs will ask you if you want to keep the old version when upgrading. (I find PD doesn't do this so you can have the older version still installed alongside the new version.)
Cyberlink differs in that the trial version
cannot be made into a full version. (I thought it could- but you have to d/l and keep the full version as well as upgrade versions just to be safe. And always make sure to register within a couple weeks ! Otherwise you might have issues.)
Once you are a registered user then you can uninstall and re-install whenever.
I had to re-do my main drive a few months ago... and had to figure out the above real fast in order to get my CL prgms working again.
