I have been unable to find a toot showing me how to use motion on a custom title eg: zoom out slowly on a particular path. Also how to use stills similar to PIP like that in slideshow but only for use with custom editing. I mostly use only digital stills with occasional PIP of video. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Barry,
welcome to our volunteer forum.
PD does not have custom paths for titles. I suggest you make a title in a graphics program (as a png if you want transparency). You can treat the title graphic as a PIP and do as you wish. If you need clarification (I'm not sure of your skill level or video-jargonese) we can get you right up to speed. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)

Thanks for the reply Barry. I have been using PD9 for a few years, mainly I use digital stills and some video with custom editing and now I have PD11 and want to be a bit more adventurous. No, I am not sure what you mean by the graphics program? Yes, I am OK with formats eg: png etc. I did try to download the free paint.net but my Trend Micro warned me that it was dangerous? Yet many seem to be using it. So, any suggestions or advice would be appreciated. BH Bunkerbaz

Try GIMP2 (GNU Image Manipulation Program) available from http://www.gimp.org/. GIMP2 is a very powerful FREE open-source graphics program. It can do just about anything but it will take a little time to learn it. There's a pretty strong forum community for GIMP2, so if you have any issues just find the forums and post your questions.

Paint.net is free and fine, make you you download from a good source. The link to their home page is on my site.
Gimp is also good, but maybe more difficult.
Making a title graphic should be fairly easy.
Start with typing your title onto a transparent background, save it as a png, and do as you wish.
Here is a sampler by PDTooTs to help.
