Can you import other MP4 that use the H.264 codec? What resolution is the GoPro set on? __________________________________

I don't have any other MP4 files on PC right now, resolution is 1920x1080. I can import AVI files and it works good. Before i reinstalled Windows and Powerdirector, i could import these MP4 files normally, the same that I can't now.

Do you have the MP4 files on your Hard drive?

If they are in the camera, you should copy the video from the camera to the Hard drive.

For PD to edit video the original file must be available at all times. Which means the file must be on your hard drive, not on any removable external storage.

Sorry, this is not correct resolution, it's recorded in WVGA mode, so it is 848x480.

Can you attach a 5-10 second MP4 Video shot with your camera? Point camera, press record, stop at 5-10 seconds.

If you will attach a sample video, members can test your footage on their systems.

Here it is. But I think it's not the problem in the video, because i've edited that videos already in Cyberlink Powerdirector 11 before I had to reinstall it.

The video plays OK on my system. Also loads/displays/edits without any problems in PDR11 so presumably it's a codec or QT version problem on your computer.

QT would be Quicktime.

Your video plays on my system in both Windows Media Player and Powerdirector 11. I can do splits in PD 11 normally.
This video is 1920 x1080 not 848x480.

Pero, do you still have the problem?

Did you run the file through the GoPro CineForm utility?

CineForm is a free download from GoPro that converts their proprietary MP4 to the more standard MP4. Custom computer: 8 processors, 16G Ram, ,C: drive 250G solid state. F: (Scratch drive) 2x 500Gb raid (0). G: (Data drive) 2Tb raid (1)

QT is up to date. I tried to install PD on another PC and everything works fine. So, the problem is with my PC. What can i check?

Hi,
I just purchase the GoPro Hero 3 Black edition (why I don't know I am 69...) but any ways I connect the camera to the computer though the USB cable then just navigate to that through windows 7 Premium selecting the GOPro directory and copy to a Video folder on an external drive (for video files) then use that as my source or PD. I have had success importing the videos I have taken, using the Various goPro formats right up to the 4K formats.
don't know if this helps or not.
