Huge problems Producing my project.

Hi, I hope someone can help me.

Basically I have been producing a Wakeboarding video over the summer that finally is finished. Its 3.5mins long and is made up of lots of little clips with music over the top and transitions, effects etc.

It has taken me literally weeks of work to get to this stage.

As I have been going along all summer I have been producing the movie at different stages (Just to see how it was coming along in HD) and never had any problems. (always just producing in default .avi format).

Alas the other day, I put the final touches on the video and it wont produce...

If I produce as .AVI it gets to 73% and just hangs there doing nothing. (a box says rendering 100% on the lower right)

If I save it as an MPEG (any number) or a .MOV then the movie sucseffuly produces but when I view the completed video it is "broken" for want of a better word. It will work fine upto a point (different everytime but lets say 15 seconds) and then the screen goes black, and wont come back for another say 20 seconds, then goes black again, so on and so on.

Im really tearing my hair out here as I said weeks worth of work have gone into this short video and the person I am making it for needs to have it by the weekend.

Ive tried as many different combinations of saving setting as I can but always have these problems. It needs to be HD so I havent tried saving in low Res as he cant use that.

Does not guarantee that it will solve the problem.
You can try it.
See the pictures.

calum123,
Welcome to the forum.
What is in your timeline at 73%?
Also, AVI? A format rarely used, how will you play this video? On a DVD, internet?
Can you attach a screenshot of your timeline?

If you stretch out your timeline all the way, you may be able to see something there that shouldn't be. .

I put together a series of water skiing videos and have the same problem. (Related to water? )

The only solution I had was to try my patience and produce the video multiple times until it worked. Sometimes took up to 10 tries.

Hope someone posts a fix!
