1) Why does Title Designer not provide an UNDERLINE option in Font Type Settings? You can select BOLD & ITALIC but not UNDERLINE.

2) You get options for increasing Line Spacing but no way to decrease it. For most of the fonts it appears the minimum line spacing is too large. Is there anyway to make line spacing smaller?

I can't tell you why, but I can tell you the only way around it is to import a line (as an image) into the title. There's an example attached. Images in Title Designer can only be faded in and out, but it is possible to give it the "look" of being underlined.

On your other question about line spacing, yes - that can be a problem with some fonts. One way around that is to make each line of text a separate title. That way you can space them as you want. It's possible that a future version of PD may have negative line spacing (e.g. -2, -5, -10 etc).

Yeah, I could see work-arounds for these issues too but from a text perspective UNDERLINE and LINE-SPACING are pretty basic features of just about any application dealing with text. Having to do work-arounds to get the necessary results really becomes cumbersome. Regarding spacing, if I have to create x lines of text and manually position the lines that will get old really fast and just wastes time on a task that should be handled automatically. Seems pretty odd that in all the revs of the application they haven't dealt with these basic things.

Since I'm evaluating PD now, this certainly goes in the negative column at this point.

So I don't have to re-discover known issues, does anyone maintain a list of these type of "problems" and some recommended work-arounds? Do you have any other issues like this that you can share? Appreciate your help.

Can I create a set of Title Templates that have individual text lines setup at what I would consider proper spacing? That way I could setup a 2-line, 3-line, 4-line, etc. template with pre-determined line spacing for the fonts I'd likely use the most. That would at least keep me from having to manually position text lines on-the-fly. Has anyone already setup a set of templates like this?
