Hello,

I want to overlay an object from one video clip into another. The objects are moving as well as the camera so I wanted to put a mask around them and use the transparency to remove as much of the background as possible however, PowerDirector masks do not appear to allow for this. Is there a way to accomplish this result with PowerDirector?

Thanks,

Douglas

Masks are not movable. Watch the video link Tony posted. It may help you accomplish what you want.

It took me a while to find the proper description but I'm looking for what is called a "Garbage Matte" in Adobe. The ability to define an area for exclusion that can change as the clip plays.

I thought the mask could do this with transparency but the mask is very basic. I'll have to slip the clip every time I need to update and create a custom mask.

Is there anything like the Garbage Matte in PowerDirector?
