Can't import m2ts file

Hi, I have a .m2ts file and whenever I try to import it it says, "unable to convert 00001.m2ts to 00001.mpg file because it does not contain valid video content"
I'm using vista. Does that have anything to do with it?
By the way, I'm using version 6 and I do have the patch.

I am having the same problem. It did not even give an error message. It simply could not see any m2ts file in my hard drive when I want to import it for editing. I am using PD5 on XP system. That was regardless of the file size.
