Burned DVD pixelates

I tried to burn my first dvd with PowerDirector 11 Ultra. There is a lot of pixelating on the disc. I have a brand new LG MODISC DVD-RW. Can I assume the problem is with the disc media (I'm trying to burn to a Memorex DVC-R)? Or could it be the burn preferences I have set in PowerDirector? I have set the recording speed to 24.0 and have checked the box Include buffer under-run protection. The boxes Enable x.v.Color and Enable hardware video encoder are not available to be checked.

I would prefer to not keep trying disc after disc until I get one that doesn't have a lot of pixelating. Does anyone have any hints to make this burn process easier?

Hi retpgmr,
Try lowering your burn speed.

To keep costs and consternation at a minimum, consider burning to an RW disc, which can be reused. Also see what results when you "burn" to the hard disk, instead of to a DVD.
