Additionally, have you tried other formats? Possibly, it could apply to a single format only.

My Powerdvd 13 screen is totally blank at launch, why is it like this?
This just started to happen.

I'm tired of this product now, there is always something wrong.

I have since yesterday the same problem, Powerdvd13 ultra says "detecting drive" and the start button is dead.
I read all the FAQ but i dont see any solution for this.
What is this problem? I uninstalled and installed everything but no success. Please help !!

I've uninstalled and installed it too, but still the same problem.

Tech support can't help, so this software is uninstalled for good now.
I'm now using a different software player which has better sound and picture quality, and with no error messages.

Hi teri-fo,

The printscreen is exactly i have.
Today i received mail from technical support to send them this printscreen and some files like dxdiag to examine the problem.

If i know more i will let it know here as soon as possible.

Update powerdvd13- play button is off.

Cyberlink gives you quick reply but the problem is still there. See the pics before. Technical support advised to be sure to have the last drivers for the disk-drive.
Ofcourse this is very important but i already had the last one. Also my PC is clean for virus or malware but still Powerdvd is not working. Last graphic driver, last audio drivers. Different anti spyware, anti virusware.

From explorer and in other players my drive is working!

No playing of any DVD or BluRay disk in PowerDVD13.

Who has this problem also and who knows the solution.

OK

I've installed the last patch of PowerDVD 13 published yesterday and installed all Windows updates too and the problem still resists.

I attached both the DxDiag log file and the BD & 3D Advisor log file.

I have to append that it seems that the Detecting Drive Screen freezes, because it doesn't change if i switch in the top menu tabs to the Movie Library or Movie Info tab.

Thank you for your help

There seems nothing to do about it. I have this problem for more than half year an tried everything. Nothing helps!

The only thing you can do is playing from explorer, so starting from outside Powerdvd (rightclick bluray drive and opt for playing with powerdvd)

it's pitty that it's like this for a paid product but i already given up the hope for a solution!

Good Luck.

Thank you for your input.

The last weeks it worked, but since last friday/saturday (I don't know it exactly) it doesn't work properly... I don't know what the reason could be. I had problems with the installation of the KB2919355 (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=42335), maybe this could be the reason...

Thank you for any help.

Eric is right. From explorer or by plug in the BD player and autostart, PowerDVD 13 will play the disk, but if you start the application manually, it won't.

It's not so a torture for me but it's annoying me...

I hope there will be a bug fixing patch by the cyberlink team in near future.

Thank you and have a nice evening

Florian

Did anyone suggest "upper and lower" filter removal?
Google Microsoft for it. .

Fixed mine with help from the local Best Buy's Geek Squad. After I told the man from Geek Squad that mine started after I renewed my iTunes Match he typed regedit in the run box and found a filter labeled CLMP and deleted it. After that I uninstalled PowerDVD 13 then reinstalled it and now it's working properly. CLMP is the only thing in my recycle bin because I haven't added anything since I got home and the bin was empty when I took it to Best Buy's Geek Squad.

I had the same problem after my computer crashed (due to some hardware failure) while PowerDVD 13 was running. I traced the issue to a broken "resumeDiscs.dat" file in the folder %userprofile%\AppData\Local\CyberLink\PowerDVD13. In my case, moving that file somewhere else (PowerDVD recreates it) solved the problem.
