Other plug ins?

While I'm glad to see PD allows for some plug ins from NewBlueFX, I find that many of them are of limited use for me. I'm wondering if any plug ins from other vendors will be usable in PD? I'd specifically like plug ins from Video Co-Pilot. Optical flares, Twitch and others will not work in PD at this time. Others effects do work since they are just pre keyed .mov files. Some titling (Titler Pro) would be great too.

I really like a lot of what PD can do, the price is right but I find that the lack of plug ins used by programs like AVID, After Effects, Vegas, Hitfilm and other can use is a bit frustration. I would much rather have seen PD incorporate more plugs ins than add support for 4K. How many of you own a 4K camera? If you can afford one you are probably using Adobe Premier.

This lack of support for more plug ins keeps PD from being a top tier program at a middle of the road price. I don't want to abandon PD and just want to really encourage Cyberlink to add support for more plug ins in the future.

While this is a user forum, I do assume that staff from Cyberlink monitor it and may read this. So thanks for any consideration. Intel 2600K

Hmmm, well I'll run this up the flag pole through a different route. Doesn't hurt to ask.

And if I can ask Bubba, where in Texas? I grew up in the Dallas area myself, not in WY. Intel 2600K

I was raised in West Texas left for 40 years and recently moved from Nevada (33 years there) back to Corsicana 40 miles south of Dallas. Everyone I am related to are in this area.

One thing you can do is send CL an email with your suggestion, and if it is a good one the forum moderators (non CL employed) can pass it along as they do occasionally....

Ok thanks for the info. I've been through Corsicana a time or two over the hears. I haven't lived in TX since '95 however. I've gotten use to having 4 seasons instead of hot and slightly less hot! LoL! Intel 2600K

I visited the Prodad site, and they stated their Mercalli stabilizer was on the drawing board for Powerdirector. If you've not used Mercalli, it's the next best thing to a tripod or rail system. Rock solid stabie program. Incredible.
Perhaps their other softwares will follow. I have an example on my site. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)
Nvidia GTX 960(4GB)/16GB DDR3/
Canon Vixia HV30/HF-M40/HF-M41/HF-G20/Olympus E-PL5.

Actually I am looking for something more like what Tubetape offer*

Unfortunately PD doesn't support them. I am loath to buy another editing solution but I might shell out the money for my next project. Not sure but I can't really see anyone to reproduce what these plug ins do.

Thanks for replying.
Chris

Hi Chris40,

Those effects, made by Video CoPilot are for one specific program only, although they do sometimes release some filters which can be used by other programs.
As Barry has stated above, ProDAD make some very good effects I have many of them, but as yet they have nothing for PD.

Robert

They work with at least other editors I'm aware of.. The express version of one of the editors is quite affordable being only a little more than PD Ultimate.

I've looked t ProDad, and what they do they seem to do very well. Yet again I don't see what I'm after, specifically the optical flairs but I'd love to have the 3D modeling plug in as well.

Your original post was for Optical Flares from Video CoPilot, Optical Flares is only available for one specific program, there are other bundles which can be used in a few other programs.
