Powerdirector 10 not loading videos

If i try and load any video file into Powerdirector 10, it crashes.

Tested formats:
-.AVI Both Fraps and non-Fraps output - Both failed
-.WMV Powerdirector 10 output file and a few from the net - All but 4 failed.
-.MP4 Powerdirector 10, phone and net - All but 3 failed.
-.MKV Downloaded - Only 5/26 work (720p)

All files are at either 24/30fps with ranging bitrates 1mb/s to as high as 150mb/s. (Bitrate never use to be an issue, but if it is now... why are even those with less then 30mb/s not working?) Some videos with high bitrate work, others don't. Same with the lower end.
Audio? Stereo, mostly... though some are mono. Some work, some don't.
File size? Ranging from 3mb to 1gb. Again i have some random ones which work and others don't.

1.) I have the latest patch installed: 10.0.0.2231
2.) I have the latest graphics card Drivers from Intel
3.) I have more than enough space on my HDD
4.) I am logged in as Admin.
5.) I have Reinstalled Quicktime and PowerDirector and Codecs.
6.) I am using windows 8 and you guide on finding the logs is outdated.
7.) DxDiag: http://pastebin.com/87FbXjjX
8.) Can you convert the files? What need if all the normal file types don't work?
9.) Have you tried compatibility mode? Yes. No luck.
10.) Firewall? Comodo in game mode (Means it won't interfere)
11.) All these files can be opened and played in my video player and use to work in PD10.

Extra notes-
I use to be able to open all these file formats, but, without warning or any reason, now i can't. I haven't installed or updated any software which could effect Powerdirector, let alone anything else on my computer as there have been no updates. Though once this issue started i have tried to reinstall drivers and powerdirector etc...
Since which i have also re downloaded live movie maker and now, it works! (It didn't before, hence why i found PD10... (which was already installed on my computer but didn't know about) but now PD10 is broken it works... so there might be a link)

Just ask for more information if needed.

In the context which it was used in it should be clear. But if i have to clear it up; Now PowerDirector 10 is not working Movie Maker is. By working, i mean it is able to open video files unlike before when it would crash.

And yes, there have been no updates. Well of course there have been -but when the problem occur, i hadn't installed any updates prior, nor have any changes other than date or time been changed in my DxDiag. Since which i have gone to the trouble of manually updating or reinstalling to see if this will fix these issues but it hasn't. Hence i just had the strangest ideas as to see is Movie Maker would work again... and it is. Though the version which Move Maker was at then and now is the same. Meaning it must be an issue with the computer but i can't seem to find anything other then the OS being windows 8; However, it worked before with no trouble. Which just makes the issue worse as i don't know the cause.

Read the sentence aloud to someone else and see if they understand it; especially the bolded part. Perhaps better punctuation would help or perhaps splitting the sentence.

Also stop referring to the two programs as "it". Is it Power Director or is it Movie Maker -- which one is/was crashing?

Sorry I seen to have trouble understanding your CURRENT problem. Forget Movie Maker for now. It confuses the issue and is part of a symptom and not part of the problem. .

It makes prefect sense, I would recommend you read it as a whole as reading one part will blow it out of context. And i see no problem with that sentence, though it was a bit on the messy side with all the brackets, it still contained all the information needed and transferred the information needed in a "ok" way. It could have been better, i admit that. And i do live with an English teacher who agrees with me. But, i don't see why you would complain to me about my grammar when you write this: "especially the bolded part." It should be "especially the part which is in bold" or something along those lines as "bolded" is not a word, not in English or American.
And as said before, all the information is in the sentence which was given to you... however, you might want to learn as to not contradict yourself. As first you want me to explain it, then you tell me to forget it... so which one is it? Either way, re-read the first post along with the part i cleared up for you.
If you still fail to understand i recommend you give up as i don't have time to waste on people who can't handle a complex sentence which is within the limits of being correct English, and i even cleared up the bit which you had trouble on.

Good luck; perhaps someone else can read your complex English sentences! .
