Hi folks. New PD11user, new to video editing. Have searched the forum, but haven't found anything related. I may just lack the correct jargon. I would really appreciate some guidance in solving this problem.

I have files from two separate cameras that shot the same event. They're on separate PD11 tracks, and the two tracks have been time-synchronized. I resized each of the two master "clips" so I could see them both at the same time in the preview window. I did this by selecting the clip, making sure the "clip" button in the preview window was selected, and then dragging the corner of the white outline in the preview window to put Track 1 in the top left corner, and Track 2 on the bottom right. It worked great.

Then I watched the "movie", paused it where I wanted to added a change between views, added a "split" there and continued viewing to the next desired change point. I added splits this way to many, many places throughout the project.

The problem arose part way through implementing my camera changes, which I've been doing by resizing both tracks of a splitted section (i.e. a portion of the movie) to full-size in the preview window so I could see the camera changes and transitions in a single view. (BTW, I've been changing between track 1 and track 2 by manipulating the opacity on track 2. It's been working great.)

Part way through the project, I discovered I couldn't resize a clip, or any subsequent clips, in the preview window. There is no white outline or draggable corners when I select those clips (and yes, the "clip" button in the preview window is selected). Those clips all seem to be stuck at quarter-screen size. What's more, none of the buttons like Modify or PowerTools are visible when those problem clips are selected. The only button visible is Split. This means I can't seem to get into Keyframes to fix the problem there.

I noticed that on the clips that have this problem, the audio and video portions of the same track have separate outlines, and there is a tiny dotted line between them. The clips I can still resize don't have this dotted line. It seems that something has caused the audio and video portions of each clip beyond a certain point in the timeline to become un-linked from one another, and that this is somehow preventing any modifications to those clips.

BTW, I'm only using the camera audio for synchronization. I'm using a separate audio track for the finished project. That track is currently in place.

Sorry for the lengthy description - I just wanted to be clear and thorough. In a nutshell, I want to know how to re-link the audio and video portions of those problem clips so I can resize them in the preview window (and do other things to them, presumably). Or maybe the two symptoms are not connected - I haven't a clue. I've tried restarting the app and the computer, but nothing has changed. I've searched the PD11 help files, Googled for a solution, and watched some YouTube tutorials too, but no luck. Any ideas, o kind experienced one?

If I understand well.
The audio has shifted over the video.
1 - try volvar atraz bontão Undo
Not solving.
2 - right-click on the video in the timeline and select Unlik video and audio, delete transition right up there.
Select only the audio, drag to adjust the video.
Select audio and video, right-click and select link video and audio
---
Note: When you merge videos and photos and transitions in joints, removing the transition after a photo can cause this error image attached.
To prevent that from happening, first delete the transition right then that it joins the picture.

Thank you, playsound! I will try your suggestions and report back. I may have used some fade transitions when I was experimenting.

Playsound was correct: a transition (a simple fade in my case) placed across a boundary between clips prevents any modifications - including resizing - to those clips. Removing the fades solves the problem. I noticed that even when the video and audio portions of a clip were shown graphically on the timeline to be unlinked, the "link audio and video" option was greyed out in the clip's right-click menu. Clicking "unlink" and then "link" had no effect on the original problem. Removing the transitions was the solution. Presumably I 'll be able to add them again after I've finished making my other edits(?). I'll report back in a day or two.
