I have built a SWF file as an introduction to my instructional videos.

How can I import this file in Director11?

Hi Scope -

Since the audio/video encoding is similar to FLV, I'd say you should convert your SWFs to FLV format and import them... unless you can export in a compatible format from the original software you used.

Cheers - Tony

It would appear that I can't save as in that format
The file (.fla)originates from Adobe Flash CS6

Any suggestions?

Hi Scope -

Are you using Adobe Flash CS6 - or is that just where the file was created?

You can export in various formats, including a sequence of .png images - http://helpx.adobe.com/flash/using/exporting.html

Sorry - I'm not familiar with conversion of .fla files. SUPER© will convert .swf files to a PD compatible format http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html

Cheers - Tony

Hi,
If you are creating the swf file in SwishMax you can export as an AVI file format which PD11 recognizes. Swishmax also gives the option of which codec to use for the Avi file.

Thanks everyone,
I've exported the file as an avi

The big question is - why wouldn't that be available as a SAVE AS?
